By better unlocking this data as <strong>Open Data</strong>, making it suitable for exchange between city services, and between cities and other service providers within their jurisdiction, more cost-efficient and time-saving solutions can be developed.</p><p>Nine cities from seven European countries have identified several common challenges, such as mobility, transport, and water management, where improved use of large data sets can contribute to better services. Cross-border, diverse development teams will program digital solutions for the optimal processing of relevant data sets, for example, to respond more effectively to rapid increases in sewer flow rates or to reduce traffic congestion through targeted traffic management. The focus is on open source developments to facilitate use in other cities and further refinement of the products.</p><h2><strong>SCORE in Ghent</strong></h2><p>The Data & Information Service is working closely with District09 on this project.
