- article articleBody " <div class="paragraph text"> <p>During the weekend of February 28 and March 1, 2026, a graffiti jam took place on Afrikalaan in Ghent, providing a space for local creativity and experimentation. Twenty graffiti artists from Ghent and the surrounding area were given the freedom to create their work on site, forming a temporary, collective canvas.</p> <p>The graffiti jam served as an open platform for the Ghent graffiti scene, where artists could showcase their skills to a wide audience and visitors had the opportunity to follow the creative process up close. Throughout the weekend, visitors were welcome to drop by and see the artists at work.</p> <p>In addition to the artistic aspect, there was also a focus on meeting and dialogue. A barbecue and bar were provided, and those interested could obtain more information on site about the future development of the site.<br><br>This graffiti jam was made possible thanks to a collaboration between project developer Candor, Cultuur Gent, and Wallin’ vzw.</p> <p>This initiative not only created space for artistic expression, but also for an accessible introduction between the neighborhood, visitors, artists, and the future plans for the site.</p> </div> " art.

Een twintigtal graffiti-artiesten uit Gent en omgeving kreeg de vrijheid om hun werk te realiseren op de site en zo samen een tijdelijk, collectief canvas te vormen.</p> <p>De graffiti jam fungeerde als open platform voor de Gentse graffiti-scene, waar kunstenaars hun vaardigheden konden tonen aan een breed publiek en bezoekers de kans kregen om het creatieve proces van dichtbij te volgen. Gedurende het weekend waren bezoekers welkom om langs te komen en de artiesten live aan het werk te zien.</p> <p>Naast het artistieke luik was er ook aandacht voor ontmoeting en dialoog. Er werd een barbecue en bar voorzien, en geïnteresseerden konden ter plaatse meer informatie krijgen over de toekomstige ontwikkeling van de site.</p> <p>De graffiti jam werd mogelijk gemaakt dankzij een samenwerking tussen projectontwikkelaar Candor, Cultuur Gent en Wallin’ vzw.</p> <p>Met dit initiatief werd niet alleen ruimte gecreëerd voor artistieke expressie, maar ook voor een laagdrempelige kennismaking tussen buurt, bezoekers, kunstenaars en de toekomstige plannen voor de site.</p> </div> " art.
