Plant je er meerdere samen met de buren, dan wordt je straat op slag kleurrijk. </span></p><p>Er zijn ook andere voordelen: door tegels weg te halen <span>en te vervangen door planten, kan <strong>regenwater</strong> </span><strong>water gemakkelijker de grond in en </strong><span>creëer je meer schaduw op <strong>hittedagen</strong></span>. </p><p>Groen in je buurt zorgt voor een betere gezondheid en niet alleen jij zal ervan houden, maar ook vogels en insecten. Doe jij mee?</p> </div> </li> </ul> </div> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--text paragraph--view-mode--full"> <h2><a class="ck-anchor" id="zij-deden-het"></a><strong>Zij deden het! </strong></h2><p>Op 26 mei 2024 legden tientallen buren van de <strong>Wolterslaan</strong> maar liefst <strong>28 geveltuintjes</strong> aan. Hierdoor werd hun straat op slag een stuk groener. </p><p>'Toen we de actie van Stad Gent zagen om gratis geveltuintjes aan te leggen, deed het al snel de ronde in de Whatsappgroep van de buren. Uiteindelijk tekenden 28 buren in op onze actie Planten met buren', zegt buurtbewoner Jo Van Tassel. “Met hulp van twee geveltuinbrigadiers gingen we aan de slag en legden we op één dag alle geveltuintjes aan. Dit heeft ons echt als buren samengebracht.
