Een partnerschap met ouders is cruciaal wanneer we willen dat meer jongeren afstuderen met een diploma of kwalificatie.</p> <p>Brugfiguren zoals Joke Waelput, die vanuit Onderwijscentrum Gent gecoacht worden door Nathalie Van Wassenhove, kunnen een rol spelen. Via preventieve huisbezoeken leren ze meer over de thuiscontext van nieuwe leerlingen uit de eerste graad. Melissa Lurquin, zorgcoördinator en leerkracht in het KTA-GITO Groenkouter, vertelt hoe die kennis helpt om ouders te betrekken en leerlingen beter te begeleiden. Niet alleen de instap, maar ook de momenten daarvoor zijn belangrijk.
