De rondreizende box trekt later naar de Watersportbaan en het Tolhuispark om dan volgend jaar definitief neer te strijken in het Design Museum Gent.</strong></p><p>De gloednieuwe, innovatieve CoGent-box is een fysiek verlengstuk van <a href="http://www.collectie.gent" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">www.collectie.gent</a> of de 'Collectie van de Gentenaar'. Dat is een digitale verzameling van Gents erfgoed. Je vindt er al bijna 20.000 erfgoedobjecten die tot voor kort verborgen zaten achter de muren en in de depots van het Design Museum Gent, STAM, Industriemuseum, Huis van Alijn en Archief Gent. Op termijn zal je er meer dan 100.000 stukken vinden. </p><p>In de CoGent-box zelf is de blikvanger de verhalenmuur, een indrukwekkende rij van schermen die zich 180 graden rond de bezoeker buigt. Je kan er kiezen uit vier verhalen gebaseerd op Gents erfgoed en daarna kan je via lichtgevende bollen op de vloer dat verhaal richting geven. Bezoekers zullen later ook zelf een verhaal kunnen samenstellen en toevoegen, ook van thuis uit. Aan de andere kant van de box kan je via een exploratietafel verder grasduinen in de Collectie.</p> </div> <div class="quote-wrapper"> <div class="quote"> <blockquote> <div class="content"> <p> Dit project is uniek in Vlaanderen. paragraph--view-mode--full"> <div class="img-wrapper"></div><p>De CoGent-box staat nog tot 31 juli 2022 aan woonzorgcentrum De Liberteyt in Wondelgem, vlak bij de kerk. Je kan de box elke woensdag van 14 tot 18 uur, vrijdag van 16 tot 19 uur en zaterdag van 10 tot 18 uur bezoeken. De box is uitzonderlijk ook open op zondag 1 mei. Na tussenstops aan de Watersportbaan en in het Tolhuispark houdt de CoGent-box in 2023 definitief halt in de nieuwe vleugel van het Design Museum Gent. De box is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers.</p><p>De CoGent-box is een initiatief van de Stad Gent, Design Museum Gent en District09 in samenwerking met het STAM, Huis van Alijn, Industriemuseum Gent, Archief Gent, Universiteit Gent, Inuits, Fisheye, Chase Creative, Meemoo, Studio Dott en iDROPS.
