Om die parkeerdruk voor bewoners te verminderen, heeft de Stad Gent in 2023 en 2024 enkele groene parkeertariefzones uitgebreid. Bewoners kunnen nog altijd gratis parkeren, maar dan met een bewonersvergunning. Bezoekers moeten betalen van 9 tot 19 uur. Een dagticket kost 3,50 euro. Tot een half uur parkeren is gratis met een ticket, parkeren op zon- en feestdagen blijft gratis.</p> </div> <div class="quote-wrapper"> <div class="quote"> <blockquote> <div class="content"> <p> Veel bewoners melden dat bezoekers par­keer­p­laat­sen innemen in hun buurt en ze dan zelf moeilijk parkeerplaats vinden. Ook het par­keer­on­derzoek toont dat aan. Parkeerplaats op straat willen we zoveel mogelijk voorbehouden voor bewoners. Bezoekers verwijzen we door naar par­keerge­bouwen of P&R.
