Wie een originele binnenruimte zoekt, kan de box gratis meenemen, al is de ontmanteling voor rekening van de nieuwe eigenaar.</strong></div> <div> </div> <p>Het Groot Vleeshuis, de voormalige overdekte markt uit de 15de eeuw in hartje Gent, <a href="https://persruimte.stad.gent/222475-groot-vleeshuis-wordt-gerenoveerd-en-krijgt-nieuwe-bestemming-als-fietsenstalling">wordt grondig gerestaureerd</a>. Het gebouw doet daarna dienst als openbaar fietsonthaalpunt. De Stad Gent is nu op zoek naar een nieuwe thuis voor de grote glazen box in het gebouw. De box werd in 2002 speciaal ontworpen voor het promotiecentrum voor Oost-Vlaamse streek- en hoeveproducten, die er zijn waren uitstalde.</p> <p>De Stad Gent wil Gentenaars, organisaties of ondernemers de kans geven om de bijzondere constructie een tweede leven te geven. De box kan bijvoorbeeld dienstdoen als originele expo- of kantoorruimte. De box is 50 meter lang, 4 meter breed en 3 meter hoog en bestaat uit een metalen structuur met grote glaspanelen.</p> </div> <div class="quote-wrapper"> <div class="quote"> <blockquote> <div class="content"> <p> We dragen als Stad hergebruik hoog in het vaandel. Daarom willen we Gentenaars, verenigingen of ondernemers de kans bieden om de box een tweede leven te geven.
