Elk kwartier vertrekt er een shuttle. De actie komt er op vraag van de handelaars langs de Petercelle-as.</strong></p><p> <br>De werken aan de <a href="https://stad.gent/nl/plannen-en-projecten/project-petercelle" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Petercelle-as</a> vormen voor veel handelaars een uitdaging. Om hen te ondersteunen, lanceerde PuurGent in overleg met de handelaars eerder al de acties 'Het Grote Schop & Shop Plan' en '<a href="https://persruimte.stad.gent/238615-stippellijn-van-station-tot-centrum-langs-ruim-200-handelszaken" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Walk The Line</a>'. Op vraag van de handelaars komt er tijdens de eindejaarsperiode nu ook een gratis shuttledienst van het station naar het centrum en terug.</p><p>De e-shuttles rijden enkel op zaterdag en zondag, precies zes weekends in totaal, van 30 november tot en met 5 januari, telkens van 10 tot 19 uur. Ze doen naast het station drie haltes aan, telkens met een frequentie van 15 minuten. Elke shuttle heeft 19 zitplaatsen en is toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers. Een ticket is niet nodig, gewoon opstappen is de boodschap. Stickers bij de bushaltes zullen shoppers informeren.</p> </div> <div class="quote-wrapper"> <div class="quote"> <blockquote> <div class="content"> <p> De wintermaanden brengen heel wat gezelligheid en sfeer naar Gent, en dit jaar komt er een extra troef bij: de e-shuttle voor shoppers. Deze gratis pendelbus komt er op vraag van de handelaars. Zij staan voor een pittige periode door de wegenwerken en het wegvallen van tramlijn 1. Elke zondag tijdens de shuttle-actie is een koopzondag: dan zijn de winkels in het centrum zeker open. Op zondag 1 december en zondag 5 januari kan je bovendien via sms of online ticket gratis met de bus of tram.
