Ze studeerde Geschiedenis en Europese politiek. Als jonge Gentse mama zal ze zich onder meer focussen op kinderopvang, onderwijs en welzijn. Daarnaast zijn betaalbare huisvesting en erfgoed punten die ze op de agenda wil zetten. Ook het opvolgen van de goede besteding van middelen vindt ze belangrijk. Professioneel volgt ze namelijk bij het Departement Zorg de subsidiëring van de eerste lijn en gespecialiseerde zorg op. <br>Xanthippe was sinds de verkiezingen in 2024 BCSD-lid en voorheen was ze binnen cd&v Gent voorzitter van Vrouw & Maatschappij en jongerenvoorzitter.</p> </div> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--text paragraph--view-mode--full"> <h3><strong>Aanstellingen Safoura Zombra en Mingtje Wang als tijdelijke gemeenteraadsleden</strong></h3><p>Safoura Zombra (Groen) vervangt Bert Misplon tot en met 29 november 2026. Hij is verhinderd als gemeenteraadslid wegens ouderschapsverlof.</p><p>Mingtje Wang (pvda) vervangt Yüksel Kalaz tot en met eind december 2026. Hij is verhinderd omwille van medische redenen.</p> </div> <div class="paragraph paragraph--type--text paragraph--view-mode--full"> <h3><strong>Wijziging samenstelling Bijzonder Comité voor de Sociale Dienst (BCSD)</strong></h3><p>Tijdens de raad voor maatschappelijk wlezijn worden Eda Öztürk (cd&v) en Elise De Meulenaere (Groen) aangesteld als lid van het <a href="/en/node/43770" data-entity-type="node" data-entity-uuid="b540ef1f-eb27-4b46-9638-ed3963164080" data-entity-substitution="canonical" title="Bijzonder comité voor de sociale dienst (BCSD)">BCSD</a>. Zij vervangen respectievelijk Xanthippe Van De Genachte en Joren Gistelinck die ontslag namen uit het BCSD. </p><p>Xanthippe is voortaan wel plaatsvervangend BCSD-lid, in de plaats van Simon Smagghe.
