Geen <em>best of</em>, wel een bonte parade van intrigerende objecten.</strong></p><p>De nieuwe, tijdelijke expo in stadsmuseum STAM opent op vrijdag 16 oktober de deuren en kreeg de naam 'De Parade'. Het gaat immers niet om een klassieke expo met één thema en één rode draad. Het vertrekpunt is deze keer simpelweg de collectie, die zowat 30.000 heel diverse objecten telt, en het plezier van het kijken en het ontdekken. Het concept en de scenografie werden mee bedacht door Titus De Voogdt en Paul De Brackeleer.</p><p>Het STAM is de collectie ingedoken om een selectie te maken puur op het gevoel. Nieuwsgierigheid, verwondering en persoonlijke voorkeuren stonden voorop. Het resultaat? Een verrassende en bonte parade van liefst 260 prikkelende vondsten. Van een model van het schip 'De Maagd van Gendt' tot een gatenpot voor het kweken van kruiden of groenten, van een Chinese hoofdsteun in de vorm van een knielende jongen tot een ringvormige kruik uit het Turkse Çanakkale. </p> </div> <div class="quote-wrapper"> <div class="quote"> <blockquote> <div class="content"> <p> Mooi aan De Parade is dat de museumme­dew­erkers zelf hun nieuws­gierigheid volgden en 260 objecten kozen uit de gigantische collectie van STAM.
